TikVidDown is a small independent project with one job: let you keep the TikTok videos that matter — without a watermark, and without making you sign up, install anything, or sit through ads.
Our story
TikVidDown started as a weekend tool for one of our team members who wanted to save a friend's TikTok clip before it disappeared. TikTok's own save option stamps a moving watermark and a username across the video, every existing downloader wanted an account, and most buried the actual download link under a wall of pop-ups. So we built our own — simple, fast, and watermark-free.
What started as a personal script grew into the tool you are using today. We kept it free because the original problem is universal: people's favorite clips and sounds should not be locked inside someone else's app.
What we believe
Speed beats features
Most users want to paste a link and get a clean file. We focus on that flow being instant, not on twenty side features nobody asked for.
Privacy by default
No accounts. No login walls. We don't keep your download history because we don't need it to make the tool work.
A clean interface
No fake download buttons, no auto-redirects, no tabs of pop-ups. The page does what it says on the tin.
Respect for creators
We only fetch what TikTok already serves publicly. We encourage everyone to download responsibly and to credit original creators.
Who we are
We are a small distributed team of developers, designers, and writers who have built consumer web tools for the better part of a decade. We are not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance in any way. TikVidDown is an independent product run as a side project, funded out of pocket.
