Privacy Policy
This page is maintained by the TikVidDown team to explain — in plain English — what data the service collects, how it's used, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
2. Data we collect
TikVidDown is designed to need as little personal data as possible. We do not require accounts, and we do not ask for your name, email, or any social media login.
When you use TikVidDown we may process the following:
- Video URLs you paste into the downloader, used only to fetch the requested video. URLs are not stored after the request completes.
- Standard server logs such as IP address, browser user agent, referrer, and timestamp. These are kept for up to 30 days for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
- Anonymous usage analytics (page views, country, device type). We do not link this data to any individual.
- Contact form submissions, if you choose to email us. We keep these only as long as needed to respond.
3. What we don't collect
- We do not store the videos you download.
- We do not keep a history of the links you have processed.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade any data with third parties.
- We do not require, request, or store any TikTok account credentials.
4. Cookies and local storage
5. How we use the data
- To fetch and deliver the video you requested.
- To monitor service health and prevent abuse.
- To improve performance and fix bugs.
- To respond to your messages when you contact us.
6. Third-party services
To run the service we rely on a small number of infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting and CDN). These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security terms. They do not have permission to use your data for their own purposes.
When you download a video, the file is served directly from TikTok's servers — it does not pass through ours.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete that data.
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To make a request, email us via the contact page. We will respond within 30 days.
